Chapter 49 of the Society of Broadcast Engineers is the Central Illinois Chapter of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. The Society of Broadcast Engineers, Inc. is a professional organization devoted to the advancement of broadcast engineering, with headquarters located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The purpose of the Society is to serve the professional needs of those persons engaged in Broadcast Engineering, including radio, television, and related industries.

Members of Chapter 49 of the SBE include radio and television engineers along with other associated engineers and people with a technical interest in broadcasting and communications in the Central Illinois area. We are here to support, educate and inform our members and the public about issues that concern our industries. The monthly meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend, including interested students. Be sure to bring a friend!
